In the 80s, there were many popular heartthrobs who were not only good looking but also had talent, be it in music or in the silver screen. These men were known to be the epitome of what all men should strive to be. They were known for their good looks, intelligence, and talent in the arts. The following are some of the most popular heartthrobs from the 80s:

Matthew Broderick

Matthew Broderick is a very popular heartthrob in America. He is known for his roles in films such as Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986), War Games (1983) and The Freshman (1990). His most notable role was that of Ferris Bueller, who is the protagonist of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

He is known for his youthful charm, which has led to him appearing on many magazine covers. He was a heartthrob for many women in the 80s and 90s and still is today, being referred to as one of the most iconic teen actors of all time.

Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is also a very famous heartthrob from the 80s. He was born in 1962 and was able to use his good looks and charm to rise to fame quickly by starring in films such as Risky Business (1983) and Top Gun (1986).

Unfortunately, he has since lost some of his popularity due to scandals about Scientology. Even so, he is still a permanent fixture in action blockbusters, and is nowadays most known for his Mission: Impossible series, where he plays a spy named Ethan Hunt.

Christian Slater

Christian Slater was born in 1969 and became famous, especially in the 80s and 90s. He is most known for his roles in films such as Pump Up the Volume (1990), The Legend of Billie Jean (1985), and Interview With the Vampire (1994)

He is considered to have been one of the best young actors during the 80s, even though he released a few mediocre films along with some good ones in the late 80s and early 90’s. He features in a mix of big-budget films as well as cult classics, one of which is the satiric and darkly-humored teen drama Heathers (1989), where he played a serial killer high school student alongside Winona Ryder.

Bruce Willis, who was born in 1955 in Michigan, is also a famous heartthrob from the 80s. He became famous for starring in films and series such as Moonlighting (1985–1989) and The Sixth Sense (1999). He rose to fame in the 80s for his starring role in the Die Hard franchise (1988–2013).

He is known for being one of the most celebrated actors of his generation and has continued to be successful since the 80s. His box-office range spans several decades, which include action thrillers like The Fifth Element (1997) and action comedies like The Whole Nine Yards (2000). He also appeared in more science-fiction films like Armageddon (1998).

David Hasselhoff

David Hasselhoff, also known as “The Hoff”, is one of the most famous heartthrobs from the 80s. He was born in 1952 and has been successful ever since he rose to fame in the late 1970s and the 1980s, tackling both the film and TV industry as well as the music industry.

Hasselhoff rose to fame by starring alongside his then-wife Pamela Bach on Baywatch (1989–2000). In the 2000s, Hasselhoff began appearing in shows such as America’s Got Talent as a judge. His most popular role is that of Michael Knight on the 1980s series Knight Rider (1982–1986).
